-If you have not filed I-485 yet, your new employer need to sponosr you the green card application all over again, but you can keep the priority date if the I-140 was approved (had better for more than 180 days) no matter whether or not the new job is in the same field as the old job.

 

If your I-485 has been pending for more than 180 days, you need to find a new job in the same field as the old job to keep your I-485 valid, i.e., you do not need to start your green card application all over again, but your new employer needs to provide I-485 Supplement J when you are interview (USCIS may ask you to provide this form before they make the inerview appointment). You only need to find a new job in the same field, not need to be the same job or the same job responsibilities as the old job.
