电动车制造商特斯拉(Tesla)因其Autopilot自动辅助驾驶系统相关风险于去年年底在美召回200多万辆汽车,联邦公路安全调查人员对于特斯拉召回行动是否奏效提出质疑,并希望对方提供更多有关修复程序的信息。
根据美联社的报道,国家公路交通安全管理局(NHTSA)于7日在其机构网站上发布一封致特斯拉的公开信,对其召回补救措施是否有效表示担忧,因为自去年12月以线上软件更新形式发布补救措施以来,特斯拉已报告了20起事故。
召回加以修复也是为了解决是否应允许自动驾驶仪在特限高速公路以外的道路上运行的问题,道路安全倡导者长期以来一直对此表示担心。解决此问题的方法是在有交叉路口的道路上增加对驾驶员的警告。但调查人员在该公开信中写道,他们看不出召回之前和新软件发布之后,对驾驶员示警方面有什么区别。NHTSA称它将评估发出的警告是否足够,特别当驾驶员监控摄像头被遮盖时。
NHTSA发出的这封长达18页的公开信,询问了特斯拉如何利用人类行为科学来设计自动驾驶仪,以及该公司如何评估人为因素的重要性,还希望特斯拉能确定涉及人工评估的每项工作及工人的资格,要求说明这些职位是否仍然存在。目前,特斯拉正在裁员约10%(约1.4万人),以削减成本,应对全球销售下降。
安全专家表示,NHTSA可能会寻求进一步的召回补救措施,让特斯拉限制自动驾驶仪的工作范围,甚至迫使该公司停用该系统,直至问题得到解决。
由于特斯拉装有Autopilot高级驾驶辅助系统的电动车涉及多宗致命交通意外,NHTSA于2021年8月启动了对特斯拉的安全调查。
