on large trucks with allison transmission, people are following allison's instuction to flush/change over the fluid from regular to long lasting type -
1) drain or suck out
2) fill fresh fluid to correct level
3) drive out to get it up to normal temp
repeat above for 2-3 times. simple, no risk.
