For a $70B (almost 1/5 of NFLX's market cap) deal, I wonder how much more subscriptions NFLX can get from HBO, since lots of the HBO subscribers already have NFLX. 

However, for the long-term strategy, my guess is that NFLX might see this deal create a streaming behemoth with unmatched libraries by adding HBO's prestige to NFLX's volume. This, eventually, may accelerate the shift from linear TV and pressure rivals like Disney+.....

After all, as Peter Thiel stated in his "0 to 1": "all happy companies are different, each one earns a monopoly by solving unique problem...." :)
