Put market into prespect

Eleven days ago, the SPX confirmed a breakdown from its uptrend triangle pattern, supported by significant volume. While the market often retraces to trap optimistic buyers, the price has failed to reclaim the trend line—a classic sign of an emerging bearish trend.

Markets rarely move in a straight line; they are designed to exhaust and trap participants. While technicals suggest further downside—potentially significant—we should expect short-term "bull traps" intended to lure investors back in. The silver lining is that several support levels are nearby, which may offer temporary relief. However, until the charts prove otherwise, I remain bearish. Technical analysis isn't infallible, but when the patterns are this clear, they deserve respect.
