If the subtext here is that Wiles is sabotaging Trump, that sounds pretty stupid to me. If she wanted to destroy him, she had an excellent opportunity when she was running his campaign.

What is more likely is one of two things:

1) She stupidly engaged with the liberal media, not realizing how bad the write-up would be, because her boss often does and sees it as something that “must be done. Or,
2) As I said in a prior post, they view engaging with the media as a win/win. Good coverage reinforces the narrative that Trump is competent; inadequate coverage enhances the narrative that the press is total garbage. Both narratives are winners for him….

 

如果此处的弦外之音(subtext)魏尔斯(Wiles)正在蓄意破坏(sabotaging)特朗普,这一推论在我看来十分荒谬。倘若她真有意摧毁他,在她负责其竞选事务期间,拥有过绝佳的机会。

更具可能性的情况是以下两者之一:

  1. 她**轻率地(stupidly)**与自由主义媒体进行了接触,未能预见到报道的负面程度,原因可能是她的上司经常如此行事,并将其视为“必须完成”的任务。或者,

  2. 正如我先前所述,他们认为与媒体进行互动是一种双赢的策略(win/win)。正面的报道有助于巩固“特朗普有能力”的论述;而负面的报道则进一步强化“媒体完全是垃圾”的论述。这两种叙事对他而言都是有利的。

都不是。应该是在幕后太久,想露下头显示下我比别人都高明,但没有把握好 -- 以前没有台面上的经验,只是军师的角色
