Hi [Name],

Happy New Year! It’s really nice to hear from you — and congratulations on approaching retirement. That’s an exciting milestone.

I’ve been doing well, thank you. Like you, my conference attendance slowed quite a bit during and after the pandemic. I haven’t been to ACS or NEACJS recently, though I’ve stayed loosely connected online. At the moment, I’m not planning to attend ACJS in Philly this March, but it would be great to reconnect if our paths cross at a future conference.

Thanks again for reaching out, and best wishes as you plan the next chapter. I hope we’ll have a chance to catch up before too long.

Best regards,
