Each state has two senators.
I just went to one senator's website, from the 'contact us' there is one iterm 'green card/immigration'. I just sent one email through the senator's homepage.
You may also contact congressman's office which represents your county/city.
Hard to say who is of more help. For my case, it seems the senator's office is more willing to help.
