尊敬的8老师，想问一下，父母绿卡，如果他们每半年入境美国来待一个月（所以一年只在美国待2个月），以后绿卡到期了会对renew绿卡有影响吗？

-No. But in reality, your parents cannot stay in US only for about two months each year. You have to stay in US for more than 6 months every year to keep their green card validity. Of course, they may stay outside US for more than 6 months and less than one year in China occasionally in certain circumstances. If they need to stay in CHina for more than one year and less than two years, they need to apply for reentry permit.

Remember that the green card is for them to stay in US permanently, not for them to use it as border crossing card.

renew绿卡的时候有要求过去十年至少有一半的时间待在美国吗？因为父母现在身体还可以，所以他们近几年还是比较倾向于更多时间在中国，但是不知道这样做会不会对以后renew绿卡有影响。非常感谢！！！
