我父母马上来美在我家小住，期间和他的几个老同学约好想去温哥华玩几天。我父母的情况是多年以前有加拿大枫叶卡，后来他们回国了枫叶卡估计也就过期作废。现在他们想申请旅游签证需要注意什么，有过枫叶卡会不会反而对申请旅游签证不利? 

-Probably the Canadian immigration system still record your parents as the Canadian permanent residents though technically  they 枫叶卡 is invalid due to overystay in China. So, probably they need to abandon their 枫叶卡 first and then, apply for the tourist visa.

You had better contact the Canadian Embassy'Consulate in US to see what they suggest.
