The coupon rate is not the reurn rate. It depends on your cost. It's alike some people only conpare the mortgage rate but forget about the points/closing cost they paid. Most of time you need to decide if your investment prupose is to trade or to hold it till mature. In today's market, you don't want to put high proportion in individual bond/muni unless your tax rate is very hgih or you are very old.
