If you  listen to him, you'll be loser. he will let you pay if there is any dispute. If some one else owe you money, He'll say it' hard to get back your money. Or enen you win in the court, other party may don't have money to pay.

Old cat sucks! Don't listen to him. You have every right to write a review. If I were you, I would follow up your review with his empty threat from a lawyer. You can ignore the letter. It won,t do anything to you.
