home insurance求助

万圣节晚上在前院放了两张椅子，上面有糖果让上门trick or treat的自取。我们在后院，不知道前院发生的事情。两个多月后，收到律所发来的信，说有人在取糖时摔倒，说我们的台阶不平，有裂缝等，当时call了救护车，一月份双膝要做手术，问我们要home insurance 和coverage的信息。对方具体的medical condition 没有提供。我们的台阶是有小裂缝，肯定不至于会摔跤，可是也没有证据是对方自己粗心摔的。

请问我们需要提供home insurance和coverage 给对方律所吗？请问我们要请attorney吗，还是就交给home insurance去办就行了？

实在是烦心，求大家帮助！
