Thank you,盈盈!I happen to have read "All the President's Men"
which, I believe, is better than the movie. As for
Deep Throat, I recall that the authors wrote about watching
an X-rated movie entitled Deep Throat in a
D.C. cinema(for adults only). That's how they're inspired to
code-name the whistleblower. Hahaha!
I'm a Deep State-skeptic, as I positioned myself in my post.

记得《水浒》有这句话：“这腔热血，只要卖与识货的。”
原来如此。深喉，是我以前在中国看美国新闻就看过的一个词。今天在秋兰的帖子里小试牛刀。哈哈
“All the President's Men”是上高中时读的，觉得引人入胜。至于深层政府之说，书中完全没有触及。
