Who Wants A Change?

The following poem was inspired by CBA7's poem "Inconstancy: All Things Change".

 

Who Wants A Change?

 

Who wants a change the most in this world?

It has to be the lady on the moon.

 

Nothing changes there around her,

and that drives her crazy.

 

There is only rock, dirt, dust,

and dust, dirt, rock.

 

No spring, no summer, no fall, no winter.

No cloud, no rain, no snow, no lightening.

 

No rivers, and their flowing.

No flowers, and their withering.

 

No birth, no aging, no death.

No parting, and no reunion.

 

No longing, no joy, no heart-broken.

No laughing, no crying, no anger, no grief.

 

There is endless loneliness that doesn't change.

There is endless all-the-same that doesn't change.

 

She wants a change so badly.

She even changed her name to Chang'e.
