"Jazz it up" is an informal phrase meaning to make something more interesting, exciting, attractive, or lively, often by adding flair, colour, or a unique unexpected twist, like "jazzing up" a dull presentation with graphics or a plain meal with a spicy sauce.
It originated from the slang term "jazz," which emerged in early 20th-century America with links to "jasm" (pep, energy) and possibly French "jaser" (chatter), becoming popular in baseball before being applied to Jazz music known for its lively, improvisational style.

"Variety is the spice of life", so let's "jazz it up" to make life more colourful
Fun aside, what I really want to talk about today is Jazz music, which I fell in love with at first sound. It's so different from classical music or pop songs I used to listen to. It relaxes me, makes me wonder, and transports me to a dream land. I even tried to play a bit on my keyboard piano (see pic below), but haven't been able to master the flat notes yet

Per Wiki, jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its roots are in blues, ragtime, European harmony, African rhythmic rituals, spirituals, hymns, marches, vaudeville songs, and dance music.
Among the famous and well known jazz musicians, I particularly like Diana Krall, not only because she is a Canadian and a female, but her unique contralto vocal and beautiful yet powerful piano play.
