读书破万卷下笔如有神，如何翻?

杜甫这两句应如何翻？读书破万卷，下笔如有神。

有一版本是After wearing out ten thousand books, the brush is moved as if by spirits. 这个译文主要问题是句子主语和动名词的逻辑主语不一样，破万卷的是人而句子主语是刷子。

类似错误: 老虎在笼子里，我不怕它， Being in a cage, I am not afraid of the tiger.

另外中文的毛笔叫pen brush ，brush 可以是牙刷，鞋刷，it will perperlex  non Chinese speakers.

原文中破万卷，是突破之意，不是磨破之事。万卷在中文里是虚数指，表示十分多的意思。真要译或ten thousand books那就变成了实数，多一本少一本都不行，不能做到如有神。

如果译为 Read myriads  of books, and you will write as if  with Devine spirits . 或译成After reading myriads of books, one will write   as if with the guide  of divine  spirits.
