平水韵七律

千秋一梦晓来风，
猛醒抬头握剑红。
鹤鹭云间疑避世，
鲲鹏天下枉争雄。
无碑不爱功名满，
有眼重看霸业空。
月已悲沉山始壮，
衣冠如雪过江东。

Bertrand Russell visited China in 1920 and, two years later, published "The Problem of China." In this book, his reflections were sparked by an encounter with a devastated peasant family that had barely survived a flood in the Yangtze basin. Unbeknownst to Russell, he was near the site where Xiang Yu, the Xi Chu hegemon, ended his life and career in 202 BC.
