You need a train map and schedule - using Zurich as the center and then plot your routes as it sounds like you will not drive. Dont try to visit too many places in such limited time. You would wind up not able to enjoy much.

for such short trip, if it were me, I would only take a backpack. But I have seen Japanese MM's pulling a huge 26" hardside suitcase walking in Madrid to the railstation. So to each their own.
