Please help for Swiss pass. Many thanks

I will be in Zurich airport at 4 pm, and then take train to Lucerne. I plan to stay in swizerland for 6 days. Should I buy and use swiss pass right way at Zurich airport ? or just buy a single train ticket to Zurich, than start use the swiss pass next day? because I arrival in Zurich airport 4 pm, the day is almost passed? thanks
