Andromeda Galaxy - Andromeda (or M31 in the Messier catalogue), is our neighbor galaxy. The galaxy is approximately 2.5 million light years away from us. Andromeda is bigger than our own galaxy, the Milky Way (150.000 - 200.000 light years in diameter, the milky way is approximately 100.000 - 120.000 light years in diameter).
