大宝学校的功课我们从来不管。她是个急性子，每天等不到回家就做完了功课， 好看她的小说。今天难得检查她的书包，看到她课上写的作文，这是其中的一篇:
Our team was having a losing streak. Two of our best players were away on atrip. I was substituting for one of them. It was my turn next at bat (这是老师写的开头，下面的是大宝写的) and I was very nervous. I turned my attention back to the game.
"....Strike three! You're out!" the umpire called. My stomach cringed. I slowly approached.
"Come on, get over here before the game ends!" The pitcher cried.
Red with embarrassment, I hurried to the plate. I swang my bat, then realized the pitcher hadn't thrown the ball yet. I could hear people laughing. I was so embarrassed.
The second timeI hit the ball! It went here and there, bouncing this way and that. It took them a minute to catch the ball! I made a home run!
At that moment, the buzzer rang. I could not believe it! Me? A home run! We won the game 7-6! I hurried home to tell my mom.
When I got home, I could not find her. What if something happened to her? Then I stepped into the kitchen. There were my mom, dad and brother. My teammates were there along with my coach.
"Congrats!" My coach said. He handed me a trophy. I couldn't believe it! I was MVP! I was too shocked to speak.

After they were gone, we went out for ice cream. This was the best day of my life!
