It was released by Atlantic Records on February 13, 2007 and features songs performed by the film's stars Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore, and Haley Bennett. The album reached #5 on the Billboard Top Soundtracks Chart [1] and #63 on the Billboard 200.[2]

I have not watched the movie. I listened to the music and like it. As you said, it fits for a weekend. Who would refuse some romantic Rock and Roll in the weekend?

Hugh Grant is not a song writer. He participated in the singing of 8 songs in this albumn, according to wiki.

I have this DVD, did Hugh write all the lyrics by himself?

I know he can sing and also plays the piano well before watching this movie. He is a multi-talented artist for sure. A good movie for Friday~~~ Have a nice one!
