Total Contribution Limit (Employee + Employer)

• For 2025, the combined limit for all contributions (your deferrals plus employer match, profit-sharing, etc.) is:

  • $76,000 for people under 50

  • $83,500 for people aged 50 and older (includes $7,500 catch-up)

So:

• Your $31,000 max deferral doesn’t include company contributions.

• But total contributions from all sources can’t exceed $83,500 if you’re 50+.

但注意你的contribution要全年space out，去年不知道怎么回事，我不到年底就预先contribute完了limit，结果公司后面就不再match了，白白损失了不少钱，今年要keep an eye on it.
