波教授or行家:请教Gas Heater stops working by itself but resetting
circuit breaker works almost all of time. It gets more frequent so I need to get it fixed.
Old posting:
https://bbs.wenxuecity.com/fdcj/1821999.html I replaced induction motor about 2 years ago.
I could send HVAC company tech over but most likely they will ask me to change the heater
(this one was made in 2006).
System senses exhause not good enough so shut down the system, either correctly or malfunction.
I guess the following possible causes:
1. exhaust pipe clogging (bad with wind, leaves...). I need to find out where the exhaust pipe goes at the roof or wall.
2. induction motore not strong or leak (new one put in almost 2 years ago) or
3. print circuit board problem. ( I plan to buy one online but it could take some to figure out the match)

Do I need to get identical control board? amazon store https://www.amazon.com/stores/Carrier/page/BCB33E28-9A7B-4C53-BBD2-25FFB43336D7?ref_=ast_bln
My system was made in 2006 but there are ones 1st available in 2013.
(Lol ChatGPT answer: The serial number 3106X25486 of your Carrier furnace indicates it was manufactured in the 31st week of 2006. Based on this, the control board for your furnace is likely HK42FZ018 or a similar model used in units from that year. For accurate confirmation, you should:)
ChatGPT got month of manufacturing about right.
To get control board soonest, I ordered new upgraded one. Hope it is compatible
ChatGPT says "
The control board for your Carrier furnace, model CNRVP3014ACAAAAA with serial number 3106X25486, should be compatible with part number HK42FZ013. This model is listed as a standard replacement for many furnaces within the CNRVP series. Additionally, some sources suggest HK42FZ014 or other variants like 30148360 may also be compatible, but confirmation of compatibility with your specific serial number is recommended.
To ensure proper operation, it's best to verify compatibility with a Carrier dealer or a trusted HVAC technician. Alternatively, contacting Carrier support directly with your furnace details can provide definitive guidance?"
Previous tenant installed NEST thermostate. A lot of bad comments how this could affect furnace. Any comment?
