Nature of Specimen: Left lobe of thyroid, ultrasound-guided fine
needle biopsy
Gross Description: Prepared: 2 slides fixed in alcohol, 2 air-dried
slides and 1 needle rinse.
Clinical History: Left thyroid nodule; rule out non-toxic uninodular
goiter.
Total Number of Slides: 4 slides


DIAGNOSIS:
FOLLICULAR LESION OF UNDETERMINED SIGNIFICANCE (FLUS)..

Hypercellular follicular lesion - hyperplastic colloid nodule vs.
follicular neoplasm.
