Many of us come here for something.  Many of us have post graduate degrees. Have many of us read this?

You and your research

I think most of his points should hold true for English learning as well, such as

 

to have courage, believe in yourself

to put in a bit more time than your peers everyday, the effort will compound over the years

to have passion, the drive

to turn a gap into an asset, look at a hard question from a different angle

to work smart

to work on important problems (Does accent really matter?)

 

These are all traits that will carry you through on top of that big brain you have
