Anna Mae removed from Baker home
Memphis -- In January, the Tennessee Supreme Court cleared the way for Anna Mae He to be returned to her Chinese biological parents. Early this morning, eight-year-old Anna Mae was removed from the home of the American couple who raised her.
At around 8:30 a.m., the family gathered as Jerry and Louise Baker handed the little girl off to a Juvenile Court guardian and a court psychologist.
The Hes were not present for Anna\'s removal from the home. It\'s unclear when the court officials will reunite her with her biological parents.
The Baker\'s attorney Larry Parrish says the separation was about as emotional as you could imagine.
News Channel 3 spoke with Jack He and it is his understanding that he and his wife will get custody of Anna Mae sometime on Monday.
