what's in style? Drape or plantation shutters?

just bought new house, still under construction. I need to get window covering. My question is: what\'s in style now? Drape or plantation shutters? Personally I like drapes. Plantation shutters seem to be plain and same at every house. Whereas with drape it\'s more personal and more unique.
