an amazing experience with Werewolf - Day 10

Happy 2008 everyone. Have been a lil busy during the past few days, and my car's somehow broken yesterday(such a wonderful ending for 2007...), so didn't touch my lappy. Of course, who could leave the just married wife by herself alone for too many days :>, so when i got some time in the afternoon, i managed to have the bluetooth working in Fedora 8

the Thinkpad T61 comes with a bluetooth pan, but it's turned down by default in Fedora 8, so we just need to turn it on in order to use it.

I went to /proc/acpi/ibm, found the bluetooth folder. I made it writable by

    sudo chmod a+w bluetooth

so i could change it later, then issue

    echo enable > bluetooth

after that, the bluetooth light on thecomputer lighted up, and it's ready to use! Then we can use the“hcitool scan” command to scan for devices, and connect them hidd-connect abc, where “abc” is the mac address of the device, whichwould be the result of “hcitool scan”

somehow though, bluetooth didn't workunder Fedora 7, i followed the same direction as above, but icouldn't find the ibm folder, weird enough, or it's just anotherimprovement of Fedora 8...
