因为美国是一个移民的新兴国家， 每个人都有致富的机会。 所以阶层主要还是以收入来划分的。粗分为三个阶层: 细分为6个阶层:

美国2005年的TOP1%的家庭年收入是35万美金以上。

美国人讲的就是实际！由下面几方面我们也能看出美国人与欧洲人的不同: 英国的有钱人西装加马甲， 美国的有钱人牛仔裤加圆领衫； 美国人吃披萨用的是手，欧洲人吃披萨用的是刀叉。

福布斯杂志如是说:Members of America's ruling class get their start at eight elite schools.

 25 out of 100 US senators have attended one or more ivy league schools.

 57 out of 109 supreme court justices have attended one or more ivy league schools

 14 out of 43 American presidents have attended one or more ivy league schools
