W. (2008),

GWB practices Christianity, pray for the end of each meeting. A quote is below. GBY PTL Allelujah!

As human, he was lonely up there. Fortunately for him, he has God on his side.

The quote "Sometimes it is better to stay out of the barrel," attributed to George H. W. Bush, suggests the importance of avoiding unnecessary conflict or involvement in situations where one's presence may escalate tensions or lead to undesirable outcomes. In essence, it advocates for a cautious and thoughtful approach to decision-making, recognizing that intervention isn't always the best course of action. This mindset may stem from a desire to prioritize stability, diplomacy, and avoiding unnecessary risks or entanglements.

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

Stone's earlier work- JFK 1990, and Nixon 1995 were done in better fashion, because enough time had passed. Had the film maker waited for Bush 43 to settle into post presidential life, the entirety of this film could've been more complete. In the cases of JFK and Nixon, both of those presidents were deceased when Stone told their stories in his way respectively.

"W." was a good movie in that there were actors that looked and acted somewhat like the major players in the film. We are probably all in agreement that Josh Brolin nailed W's mannerisms and inflections. Another thing that stood out was Colon Powell's character did not have the presence that I believe was consistent with how Mr. Powell carried himself. Since there seems to be no potential interest in W part two, the film just kind of stands there in the outfield sort of incomplete.
