Once upon a time, a man was crazy for parrots. Whenever he saw a parrot for sale, he knew he had to buy it for sure.
One day, he saw a vendor selling a very colorful parrot in the market for a very low price. He was very happy.
“That is a good bargain”. He thought. “I must buy it otherwise I would regret it”.
So he asked the vendor ,“Why are you selling it so cheaply?”
“Nobody wants him because he is not a good parrot. He is very rude and likes swearing. I have already sold him twice but he was returned". The vendor replied.
“It doesn’t matter”. The man thought. “I would train him to be a good one. I won’t let this bargain slip away.” The man thought.
“I want to buy him. Here is the money”.
The man took the parrot home immediately. He told the parrot to be courtesous and polite. Actually the parrot was doing pretty well at the beginning. The man was very happy and satisfied. For a short time, the parrot's manner were acceptable, but he eventually went back to his bad habits. he started to swear again all the time, even to his master. The man was very angry at the parrot and he fought with the parrot. The more they fought with each other, the more the parrot swore and the angrier the man was. Finally one day, the man was furious at the parrot when he spoke a lot of dirty words to him. The man put the parrot into the freezer.
“Think about your behavior. If you could not be a good guy, here would be the only place to spend your life”. He warned the parrot.
When the parrot was first sent into the freezer, he was still swearing. Later on, he was gradually quiet.
The man was happy that he finally found an effective way to punish the bad creature.
Several hours later, the man opened the freezer.
“Get out of here”. He ordered. “Will you swear any more?” He asked seriously.
“ Dear Master, I promise I won’t swear anymore.” The parrot answered sadly.
“See, you do need to be punished to remember something”.
“Master, may I ask you a question?” The parrot asked carefully.
“Go ahead”.
“What mistakes did the chicken make which changed him to a frozen one?”
